Tidewater opens at Fore Street Gallery next March. Here is what the months before a solo show actually look like.
Choosing the paintings
I have twenty harbor paintings on the go. Fourteen will make it. The gallery and I pick them together, looking for a run of color that works as you walk around the room.
Finishing
Every painting gets painted sides, a coat of wax and a wire on the back, so it can go straight from the wall to a buyer's home.
The opening
The opening is Friday, March 5, from 5 to 8 pm. Everyone is welcome. Sign up for the newsletter to hear when the paintings are first shown online.
