About the project
A winter house for a Minneapolis family, built around a long pool and deep shade.
Our clients wanted the opposite of a Minnesota January: shade, water and rooms that open all the way to the garden.
Every main room opens onto the pool through tall sliding doors under a deep timber soffit, which keeps the glass out of the midday sun. The guest cottage at the back has a small kitchen of its own.
