How to get the most from your yearly checkup

· 1 min read

A checkup is your best chance each year to talk about your health with time to spare. A little planning makes it count.

Before your visit

  1. Write down your questions. Put the most important one first.
  2. List your medicines. Include vitamins and anything you buy without a prescription.
  3. Check your family history. Has anyone been diagnosed with something new?
  4. Note any changes. Sleep, mood, weight, energy.
  5. Bring your readings. If you check your blood pressure or sugar at home, bring the numbers.

After your visit

Your plan and results appear in the patient portal. If something doesn't make sense, send us a message.

This article is general health information, not medical advice for you. Talk to your doctor about your own health. If this is a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
