Helping your child through vaccines
· 1 min read
A few minutes of worry is normal. These small things really do help.
For babies
Feed or cuddle your baby during or right after the shot. Holding them close is one of the best comforts there is.
For toddlers
Bring a favorite toy or book, and stay calm yourself. Children take their cue from you.
For older kids
- Tell them the truth: it may sting for a moment.
- Let them choose which arm.
- Plan something nice for afterwards.
