Overview

Russ put out eleven SoundCloud albums and a song a week before anyone was paying attention. This unofficial fan archive tells that story era by era, opening on a live concert shot, so fans can hear how the music changed along the way.

The challenge

“A long discography is easy to turn into a boring list. It needed to feel like a show while staying a fan project: clearly unofficial, music only through official embeds, no hosted audio, no lyrics and nothing for sale.”

What I built

  1. 01

A layered concert hero built from a live concert photo, with the RUSS wordmark sitting between the crowd and Russ so he steps in front of it as you scroll.

  2. 02

Albums and Singles timelines where the page's colors shift with each era, and every release plays through Spotify's embed player.

  3. 03

Shows, videos and links kept in plain data files, so new releases go in without touching a component.
