Open these now so you are never stuck halfway through a lesson waiting on a sign up email. Use the same email for all of them, ideally one on your own domain once you have it. Turn on two-factor sign in for every one.
- 1
GitHub (free): stores your code and every change to it. Go to github.com/signup.
- 2
Claude (a paid plan with Claude Code): writes and changes the code with you. Go to claude.ai and pick a plan that includes Claude Code.
- 3
Netlify (free): builds your site and puts it online. Sign up at netlify.com and choose Sign up with GitHub so the two are linked from the start.
app.netlify.com/signup - 4
A domain (about $12 a year): your name on the internet. Any registrar works. I like Cloudflare and Porkbun because they sell at cost. You can buy it later in module 5.
- 5
Resend (free): sends email from your domain, like contact form messages. Sign up at resend.com when you reach module 5.
- 6
Google Analytics and Search Console (free): show who visits and what they searched. You will set these up in module 7 with your Google account.
Only on the sign in and payments path, you will also need Supabase (database and sign in, free to start) and Stripe (payments, a fee per sale only). Module 8 walks through both.
Keep a password manager open while you do this. You will collect a handful of keys during the course, and they belong in your password manager and in Netlify, never in a document or a chat.
